Please note this is a permanent position.Working hours: Minimum 35 hours per weekInterview Date: To be confirmedThis role is responsible for providing co-ordination of the Direct Debit process of regular giving from donors. The regular giving programme is a multi-million-pound source of voluntary income for the organisation. Process donations given through multiple channels, often communicating directly with the donors to ensure accuracy of the processing and to ensure their wishes are fulfilled.Manage and account for donations through the systems used by the Marketing & Fundraising department.Provide top class, sensitive supporter care services and stewardship to our supporters and the general public in keeping with the values of The Salvation Army, to inspire trust and confidence in us, and increase supporters’ loyalty to us.Ensure that all processes employed by the Supporter Services Unit are effective, efficient and comply with organisational and legal guidelines.Key Responsibilities:Manage the administration of the process for claiming, thanking, and banking regular giving income.Process supporter data, donations, requests, and queries.Be the first point of contact for supporters and members of the public through both verbal and written channels and communicate with them.Thank supporters providing outstanding personalised supporter care that inspires trust and loyalty in The Salvation Army.Work with the specialised Supporter Services Team Leaders (e.g. Committed Giving, In Memory, CAF, Gift Aid) to ensure that all donations and queries are dealt with.Provide training to Supporter Services Assistants on a range of tasks.Work with the Supporter Services Manager to ensure that all queries from management and issues with suppliers are addressed and resolved.The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:Supporter Services experienceKnowledge of Committed GivingCustomer care experience.Written and oral communication skills to a standard expected for communicating with supporters and enquirers.Ability to deal with routine office procedures as efficiently as possible, using where applicable Office IT systems.Ability to work autonomously and manage the various tasks and processes asked of you to set deadlines.This is a permanent position based at our Headquarters, 1 Champion Park, Denmark Hill, London, SE5 8FJ.In order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.In the job profile you will find the criteria required for the role please make sure that you address this in your supporting statement as this forms the basis of our shortlisting.Appointment subject to satisfactory references, proof of right to work in the UK.For details of how to prove your right to work in the UK please click here and please note that we are unable to offer sponsorship.
