Job Purpose:I am a friendly lady with Multiple Sclerosis, ADHD and ASD, who is seeking a PA to help me maintain my household and assist me with everyday living tasks. This will include duties such as; domestic care, personal care, food preparation, social and leisure activities and assistance to meet my parenting needs.I live at home with my two daughters. As my eldest daughter is getting older, the burden of responsibility on her as a young carer becomes greater. Someone who is able to bridge the gap, so that the impact on her is not as great would be ideal. This will include taking her for social outings, such as appointments for young carers.I am struggling to accept that, at my age, my health needs are so significant, and I am still going through a journey of acceptance. Due to my ADHD and ASD I can become stressed and avoidant, and take on more than I can physically handle. I would like someone who can anticipate my needs and reassure and encourage me to rest when necessary. As such, someone with experience of of working with neurodivergent individuals would be ideal.I am looking for a PA available to work 3 hours each morning, from Monday to Friday.

  • Caring, patient, trustworthy, reliable
  • Understanding and non-judgemental
  • Experience of working with individuals who are neurodivergent
  • Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
  • Experience of working with young people with neurodiversity
  • Willing to take up training as required.
Summary terms and conditions:
  • The rate of pay for this position is £16.66 per hour
  • You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role
  • Access to free Care Skills training for employed workers
  • Hours and days of work: 15 hours per week. 3 hours each morning, from Monday to Friday
The post is subject to the following:
  • A satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer
  • Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer
  • Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months
  • Should this job role include any of the following duties: food handling, chemical handling (general household cleaning products), handling of medication or manual handling, you will be required to undertake annual training.
