Job Description
Celtic Connections has a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and analytical Producer (Celtic Connections Programming) to join the award-winning festival. You will be a key team player within the Celtic Connections team, providing support to Festival Manager and Creative Director in delivering the programme for the festival. You’ll work with a small dynamic team using your skills to liaise with internal and external colleagues, departments and suppliers. You will assist with the day to day running of the festival, supporting the production of a programme involving presentations, co-productions and collaborations and prepare relevant contract, production arrangements and the administration of the agreements. This is a 35 hours per week full time / fixed term contract until May 2028.
As a Producer you will be joining our in-demand Celtic Connections Team. You will be part of a dedicated team which supports Arts, Music and Cultural Venues. The role
As Producer (Celtic Connections Programming) you’ll be an integral part of the team by planning, supporting and delivering in the production of a programme involving presentations, co-productions and collaborations. Reporting to the Celtic Connections Festival Manager and working alongside an established team. This role is supported by Creative Scotland.
The candidate
If you’re interested in joining us as a Producer (Celtic Connections Programming) you’ll need:
• Degree in arts/festival management and/or significant festival/events production experience, training or qualifications.
• In depth knowledge of music, and in particular, folk and world music
• Strong project management and finance experience/knowledge.
• Line management experience
• The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders

Our city-wide contracts mean you will be flexible to work in any of our locations.
We offer hybrid working for some roles, with teams working between the office and home. Your line manager will agree these days with you, if suitable. This balance enables you to continue much-needed collaborative working.
Our office within Glasgow Royal Concert Hall has great links to public transport.
This role is working 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm with occasional weekend and evening work. Evening and weekend work is expected throughout the month of January.
