Summary

Paint Sprayer

Location: Neath, South Wales

Basic Salary: Up to £45,000 (DOE) + Bonus

Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am - 5pm

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Paint Sprayer for a full-time position. The ideal candidate will be confident with water-based paints and bring extensive hands-on experience in a vehicle painting environment.

Key Responsibilities of a Paint Sprayer

• Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and priming surfaces
• Mix paint to match colours and apply it using spray guns
• Ensure a smooth and even application of paint, free from runs, sags, or imperfections
• Perform touch-ups and finish work as needed
• Maintain and clean painting equipment and ensure a tidy workspace
• Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations
• Inspect finished work to meet industry standards and customer expectations
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and quality results

Skills and Qualifications for a Paint Sprayer

Essential

• High-quality paint spraying ability from start to finish
• Experience with water-based paints
• Stable work history in a vehicle painting role
• City & Guilds qualification or equivalent ATA accreditation
• Sound up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques

Desirable

• Additional training or manufacturer-specific certifications
