More detail about the role The Lung Cancer CNS Team are looking for a self-motivated, dynamic, enthusiastic, patient focused nurse with recent lung cancer / oncology experience, to help us maintain the delivery of high-quality care to patients referred to our team. As a Lung Cancer Lead CNS, you will lead and develop nurse led services to support the Lung Cancer pathway. The post holder will provide, clinical leadership, expertise across the lung cancer pathway embedding the living with and beyond cancer programme into Lung Cancer Pathway. The Lead will be expected to drive forward the patient experience agenda supporting curative and palliative care to improve their cancer experience and quality of life The Band 8a, will provide the clinical leadership for the Lung Cancer CNS service working closely with the Lead Cancer nurse providing advanced practice to this group of patients You will be an integrated member of the multidisciplinary team working across the whole patient pathway. This will incorporate supporting the patient as required throughout their Lung cancer pathway. You will be expected to lead and work within the team as well as autonomously, prioritising and managing your caseload and time appropriately.
