Summary
The Assistant Cardiac Physiologist role within the Cardiac Investigations Unit will include: 12 lead ECG Recording and interpretation Application and removal of ECG & Blood Pressure Ambulatory monitors Providing a long-term ECG monitoring service: Handing out monitors & explaining their use to patients Downloading transmissions Sending reports to relevant consultants. Assisting Cardiac Physiologist led clinics: Exercise Stress Testing & Cardiopulmonary Exercise services Obtain an accurate recording of the cardiac electrocardiogram and work alongside doctors or cardiac physiologist. Tilt testing Monitoring and recording of cardiac physiological measurements throughout the procedure within the assistant role Training of other healthcare professionals to perform ECGs Maintaining stock levels in their area of work Work with the CIU reception staff to ensure the efficient running of all holter monitoring clinics General equipment & maintenance checks across CIU Completion of Daily Shift checks
