Summary

We are looking to appoint a Youth and Community worker to be part of the North Locality Youth Work Team, which is based at Astra Youth Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, creative and motivated youth worker to join an established team.
We are looking for a passionate individual who will be able to demonstrate their skills in offering support to, and undertaking direct work with young people to improve outcomes for them.
The ideal candidate will be youth work trained and experienced or have substantial experience of working with young people within the 10-19yr old age range.
The work is directly with young people to support their personal and social development, to meet the needs of those young people across the Locality.
The role is varied and includes small group work and universal/open access provision. You will be expected to contribute to team plans, you will be flexible to meet the needs of the Service.
This post would ideally work over two or three evenings per week initially.
The successful candidate will be based at Astra Youth Centre and will work within the north locality programme of delivery.
