Summary
You will be expected to work within the multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive community paediatric service within the Community Child Health service, covering responsibilities in the following areas: Clinical activities Consultant clinics and related administrative work Clinical triage/screening of referrals Clinical supervision to trainees MDT clinical discussions or meetings Any clinical patient-related meetings Covering for Child protection medical assessments (excluding sexual abuse) during working hours. Teaching To contribute to departmental teaching To contribute to teaching of paediatric trainees rotating within training posts To contribute to teaching of medical or other clinical students particularly in relation to community child health services Management and leadership Audit, quality improvement and service development Clinical governance Educational and Management supervision You will be also expected to: Complete accurate and timely documentation of clinic consultations and care plan. To work to the agreed job plan and provide safe effective service and achieve departmental KPIs Act as an autonomous, registered practitioner who is legally and professionally accountable for own unsupervised actions guided by the professional code of conduct and Trust guidelines and protocols Maintain full registration with a licence to practise with the General Medical Council Gain further professional knowledge through accredited courses workshops, study and in-house training programmes to satisfy the credit hours recommended by RCPCH To develop organisational knowledge relating to Trust protocols and procedures and adhere to them To work within the team to ensure effective risk management by accident/incident reporting, assessing, and controlling risk and ensuring residual risks are added to the Risk Register To participate in established Safeguarding Peer Review (and supervision sessions where relevant to role) To engage with Childrens Community of Practice in CNWL to develop and provide standard best practice
