Summary

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people?

Do you have the patience, resilience, and compassion to support students with additional needs so they can thrive at school and beyond?

Orchards Academy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Student Support Worker to join our inclusive and nurturing school community. This is a vital role, supporting students across all areas of the school who may face barriers to learning due to special educational needs (SEN), emotional or mental health challenges, or other personal circumstances. You’ll work closely with teachers, the pastoral team, and the SENCO to provide 1:1 and small group support, helping students engage with learning, develop confidence, and reach their full potential. Whether you’re in the classroom, supporting during social times, or delivering interventions, you’ll be someone our students trust and rely on.

Orchards Academy is a small, community-focused secondary school where every child is known and valued. Located in Swanley, Kent, we are proud of our inclusive ethos, strong staff relationships, and a shared determination to improve outcomes for all students. Our dedicated team works together to create a safe, supportive, and aspirational environment where young people can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to build a career in education, youth work, or mental health support, and who is deeply committed to inclusion and the wellbeing of every child. Join us and become part of a school that values relationships, supports professional growth, and puts students at the heart of everything we do.
