Empower Change and Foster Community Wellness as a Recovery & Wellbeing Practitioner in Chester!

The Role
This rewarding and exciting role will be key in ensuring that effective, efficient and appropriate care is planned and managed well for people and that this care achieves a positive impact to the recovery of the individual.

Based within the Chester integrated Drug and Alcohol Service, your role will support adults who use our service within the area to achieve their recovery journey goals, via 1:1s and structured groupwork programme. Your responsibilities will include:

• delivering excellent drug and alcohol services to people and their significant others, including family members friends and carers, to facilitate positive outcomes.
• having experience in working within substance misuse services.
• managing a case load and co-ordinate and deliver assessment and evidence-based interventions (brief and structured), recovery planning and aftercare planning and risk assessments.
• having experience of delivering structured treatment groups.
• working collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholder across multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring adherence with all Via policies and Safeguarding principles.
• delivering harm reduction advice, psychosocial interventions, needle & syringe exchanges, Blood borne virus testing and interventions, drug testing and overdose prevention advice.

An empathetic and non-judgmental approach is imperative, as this role involves working with a wide range of challenging issues and behaviours. Good time management and team working skills are essential in this fast-paced service.

The Service
Cheshire West and Chester is a fully integrated recovery service delivered by Via We offer free and confidential support for individuals affected by drug and alcohol problems and their families and carers. We believe with the right support; people can make long-lasting transformations in their lives to improve their health and wellbeing.

Based at Aqua House, 51 Boughton, Chester, CH3 5AF.

This is a part-time vacancy for 30 hours.
