eLearning Developer – Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an eLearning Developer to join our dynamic Learning and Development (L&D) Team.

We're seeking a passionate learning enthusiast to complement our creative team - someone who recognises the transformative power of digital technology in delivering compelling, blended learning solutions.

As a key member of our Learning Design team, you'll collaborate with L&D colleagues and stakeholders throughout the organisation to create impactful learning experiences that boost knowledge and develop practical skills.

eLearning Developer – Key responsibilities

Learning Content Design and Development

  • Consult and collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to understand learning needs in the business.
  • Create comprehensive storyboards and convert them into effective digital learning resources (e.g., eLearning modules, videos, work-aids), utilising a variety of eLearning development tools.
  • Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies while considering user experience, visual design principles, and accessibility standards.
  • Present learning design concepts and prototypes to gather feedback and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Translate complex technical or policy information into clear, understandable learning content.
  • Incorporate various media (e.g., videos, images, animations) and interactions (e.g., quizzes, simulations) to create engaging learning experiences.

Innovation and improvements

  • Collaborate with the Design team and wider L&D team to maintain and enhance our blended learning offer.
  • Document best practices and contribute to the team's knowledge base.
  • Regularly review, update, and improve existing learning resources based on evaluation data and learning metrics.
  • Assist with the maintenance and improvement of our Learning Management System (LMS) and other learning tools, supporting the team with related queries and issues. Research, recommend, and support the introduction of innovative learning technologies aligned with organisational needs.
