Summary

To undertake all duties in line with the training and instruction provided by the Practice Nurses and General Practitioners Venepuncture and the taking and preparing of pathology samples To undertake the initial part of annual chronic disease reviews To undertake diagnostic tests where relevant and correctly trained such as ECGs and Spirometry To undertake vaccinations where appropriately trained Conduct weight and height measurements, test and record blood pressure. Assistance at clinics ensuring patient care by chaperoning and assisting patients to undress and dress Provide assistance in minor operations & coils etc ensuring patient care by chaperoning Assist with the provision of health checks for newly registered patients To undertake dermatology (Telederm) appointments (when appropriately trained) To undertake home visits for chronic disease reviews/INR testing if necessery To maintain adequate stock levels in stock cupboards, treatment rooms, fridges and cupboards To be responsible for the checking and recording of medical supplies on receipt The inputting of information onto the practice clinical system The use of the practice clinical system for patient searches for clinics and patient recall The ongoing cleaning and sterilisation of clinical equipment and working surfaces, preparing treatment rooms prior to use Ensure adequate infection control procedures in treatment rooms and consulting rooms This Job Descriptions is not exhaustive and may be adjusted periodically after review and consultation, you will be expected to carry out any reasonable duties which may be requested from time-to-time Work safely at all times in accordance with legislative requirements and Practice Policy and Procedures
