Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
The directors of the Mater Christi Trust are looking to appoint a Trust Inclusion Lead. From appointment the postholder will be based at St Bernard’s Catholic High School in Barrow-in-Furness, then from September 2026 will join the Trust School Improvement team.

Main Purpose of the Role:
• Lead and manage the inclusion strategy across the school, ensuring that all students, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), are supported to achieve their full potential.
• Collaborate with the Trust to implement effective inclusion policies and practices.
• Focus on developing SEND provision in one school within the first year.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement strategies to promote inclusion and diversity within the school community.
• Work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure effective support for students with SEND.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of inclusion strategies, making adjustments as necessary.
• Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to support student inclusion.
• Provide leadership and guidance on best practices in inclusion to all school staff.
