Role Specification

We are looking for the right person to develop, to fulfil the following role.

Role Objective: You will support the Banner sales teams with our channel specific strategic and tactical operating plan to grow revenue and margin across our client base.

We will provide you with the necessary training and development so you can take an active and proactive approach to developing and implementing furniture initiatives (range, customers, markets), generating account plans, and provide support to the Banner sales teams and new business.

We will build success together by ensuring we are the partner of choice, by offering our customers relevant, quality solutions at an affordable price and the business remains profitable and in growth.

Role Objective:

  • To promote our range of Office Furniture and Services actively and proactively to our Internal and External Sales teams within the vertical and to our customer base where required
  • To achieve an agreed range of business objectives while observing our high customer service expectations
  • Build meaningful relationships with existing and new customers
  • Obtaining and completing tenders with the assistance of our team where required
  • Customer visits to their offices and premises to gain an understanding of their requirements
  • Able to measure accurately a room / building when a DWG is not available (training provided)
  • Able to read CAD plans and translate into a quotation when required (training provided)
  • Specifying the correct solutions on projects
  • Producing quotations and specification
  • Full involvement with CAD teams to produce plans for customers
  • Liaising with Installation companies to plan project delivery
  • Close working relationships with all furniture suppliers
  • To develop annual plans that deliver against the Banner Interiors commercial goals and strategic direction
  • Develop a robust visible sales pipeline and communicate proactively developments, risks and opportunities

Person Specification

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • At least 3yrs office furniture related sales experience (either as part of a solution or a full solution)
  • Dealer or manufacturer experience (Office Supplies dealer is acceptable)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft IT systems, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the Office Products industry an advantage

  • Outgoing, articulate, numerate, and positive personality
  • Ability to multi-task handling a range of opportunities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to focus on key priorities with good time management.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
