We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Deputy Manager to join our specialist 31-bedded nursing service in Radyr, Cardiff, dedicated to supporting individuals with physical disabilities and complex healthcare conditions.
About the Role:
As Clinical Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day clinical and operational management of the service. You’ll work both in a leadership capacity and hands-on as a nurse, with 12 hours per week spent providing direct care on the floor. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse with strong clinical skills and leadership experience to step into a rewarding and impactful role.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the overall management and delivery of high-quality, person-centred care
Provide clinical leadership to nursing and care teams
Support staff development and ensure adherence to clinical governance
Maintain a strong presence on the floor, supporting both staff and service users
Ensure compliance with regulatory and organisational standards
Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for service users and staff
Essential Requirements:
Nurse qualified (RGN/RMN/RNLD) with an active NMC PIN
Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, or Senior Nurse
Experience working with individuals with physical disabilities and complex needs
Confident in both clinical decision-making and team leadership
Strong understanding of safeguarding, care planning, and CQC standards
