Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint an exceptional and driven professional who will join a highly successful, enthusiastic and talented team and work with us to inspire our students. The role will involve teaching Spanish and French, across all key stages. The role would be suitable for an ECT in particular and we would especially welcome candidates with a Spanish specialism.
Working together with the MFL team, the successful candidate would be involved in the development and implementation of a Languages curriculum that challenges, inspires and engages all students to love their learning and ultimately make outstanding progress.
What the school offers its staff
Debden Park High School is a heavily oversubscribed Academy that Ofsted judged to be Outstanding in January 2017. We constantly achieve outstanding outcomes for our students. The Languages learning is extremely popular and successful, with a continuously increasing GCSE uptake.
We have a passionate and energetic MFL team, who work collaboratively, are well resourced and dedicated to developing the full potential of our students. The successful candidate will join an already outstanding team and will be someone who is visionary, innovative and committed to moving learning forward in an exciting and active way.
We are part of a family of schools within the Kemnal Academies Trust. Every week staff take part in 2 hours of Debden Minds which is a bespoke CPD programme focusing primarily on the development of teaching & learning. We provide exceptional career progression for staff, which leads to our Middle and Senior Leadership teams being composed of many teachers who began their career with us. We lead the Essex hub of the TKAT SCITT.
TKAT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Offers of employment will be subject to the full Safer Recruitment process, including an enhanced disclosure and barring service check.
TKAT is committed to equality of opportunity. We welcome applications from all suitable candidates, regardless of any protected characteristic for example race, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age. All applications are treated on merit. This includes applications from individuals wishing to work full time, part-time or on a flexible basis.
