Summary
My client in Forest Gate, London is seeking an experienced Nursery cook/chef.
Client is looking for someone who can work full time or part time shifts 30-40 hours a week. shifts between Monday to Friday 8.30am till 5pm

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a nursery kitchen or a similar environment. The person will be comfortable preparing and cooking food for up to 100 children each day.
This position will be based at our Forest Gate nursery branch
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook and serve two course meals to be cooked at lunch and tea.
Prepare morning and afternoon snacks
Cook alternative meals for children with any allergies or food preferences for specific children.
Clear up the kitchen and wash up from breakfast, snack, lunch and tea. The kitchen must be clean.
Complete all the required legislative and necessary kitchen checks. Paperwork is required as evidence of H&S.
Work as part of the nursery team.
Be confident in speaking to parents about the menus we offer.
You will ideally hold an up to date Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 or be willing to train for this. Support will be given when necessary.
Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and go on the online update service. You must provide two satisfactory references from your last employers.
It is expected for you to be confident and have awareness of all required kitchen standards during at EHO inspection.
