Summary
Murray Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Bookkeeper and Payroll Administrator for our client, an established and successful organisation based in South Lanarkshire.
The purpose of the role is to undertake bookkeeping, payroll and finance administration for the business and a small portfolio of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Finance Director to ensure the smooth operation of all finance and payroll processes.
Input and process sales and purchase ledger transactions from source documents.
Manage the invoicing process and ensure accurate records are maintained.
Input accounting data with speed and accuracy across Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, spreadsheets, reports, and correspondence.
Manage cash collection and credit control activities.
Oversee the management of debtors to ensure effective cash flow.
Plan, organise, and manage your own workload to contribute to timely monthly financial reporting.
Experience required:
Experience with day-to-day bookkeeping transactions including suppliers, petty cash, credit cards, expenses, and posting sales figures.
Experience in processing payroll.
Credit control experience.
Competent in Microsoft Excel .
Proficient in Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks accounting software.
Offering:
Salary £30,000 - £32,000 (reviewed after 6-month probation period)
Monday - Friday: 9am - 5pm - 35 hours per week
29 days annual leave including defined bank holidays
