Summary
College Cleaner duties
Ensure the highest level of cleanliness is maintained in your designated areas.
Preparing bedrooms for summer conference guests; making beds, changing towels, emptying bins and carrying out deep cleaning of rooms and communal areas.
Keep the Domestic Services Manager and Supervisors informed on the day-to-day cleaning operation in the areas for which you are responsible
Maintain a clean appearance & keep designated store areas clean and tidy.
Maintain standards and procedures for the cleaning of your area as specified by the Domestic Services Manager and Supervisors
Work within the timings of the agreed cleaning schedule for the areas for which you are responsible.
Ensure compliance with colour coded cleaning equipment and rules for use in the areas for which you are responsible.
Ensure completion of the spring clean, Candidate & Conference Checklists & supply of all relevant paperwork to be completed in Graduate & Undergraduate rooms.
Work within the New College Health and Safety Policy.
Ensure that all cleaning materials are used within the appropriate COSHH guidelines (training will be given).
Encourage students to co-operate in the safe cleaning of student rooms.
Report students to the Domestic Services Manager or Supervisors via the (duplicate book) who persistently make the scout’s job difficult.
Be responsible for the reporting of all maintenance defects to the Supervisors as soon as you become aware of the issue.
Progress maintenance defects and report work not done to the Supervisors after 10 days have elapsed.
Provide cover for absent staff as instructed by the Domestic Services Manager or Supervisors.
Following any period of sickness absence, provide the Domestic Services Manager with Self Certification documents & arrange a return-to-work interview.
Request stock levels of all cleaning materials through the Supervisors.
18. Undertake any duties appropriate to your experience and attend all training as advised by the Domestic Services Manager.
All applications will be reviewed upon receipt.
Initial interviews are expected to be held on 15th & 16th May
