Located just a short distance from Harrogate and with excellent rail and road connections, Knaresborough offers a peaceful working environment while remaining accessible for those based in the surrounding areas. Due to the semi-rural location of the property, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
We are searching for a dedicated and enthusiastic Housekeeper/Cook who is self-motivated, trustworthy, and takes genuine pleasure in delivering a high standard of service. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently, comfortable managing their time and duties without close supervision, and will possess a sincere love for domestic work. This role will include general housekeeping to ensure the home remains clean, tidy and well-organised, preparing simple, healthy meals, running errands, and caring for the family’s much-loved dachshund.

Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper/Cook:
General housekeeping: dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning to a high standard
Tidying and maintaining cleanliness across all areas of the home
Basic cooking: preparation of light, nutritious meals according to the family's preferences
Laundry and ironing, including linen changes
Running errands, such as local grocery shopping and dry cleaning drop-offs
Dog walking and general care for a dachshund
Ensuring the home remains welcoming, organised and well-stocked
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper/Cook job:
Minimum of 3 years of relevant private housekeeping experience
Two excellent checkable references
Legal right to work in the UK
Conversational level of English
A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
