Role Summary:

Millwall FC Academy is continuing to grow every season and we are currently recruiting for

permanent arrangement home-based accommodation for our players aged 16-18 during the

2025-26 season.





Key Responsibilities:

The role includes, but is not limited to:

Host families are required to provide the following:

- Homely accommodation during the season with access to public transport and local

amenities desirable

- Suitable bedroom space

- Bathroom facilities

- One bedroom per player

- Clothes washing facilities

- Appropriate level of supervision and care as well as being able to cope with a young

player’s flexible schedule

- Provide nutritional evening meals for the player

- Continued communication with the Designated Safeguarding Officer / Player Care Officer





Personal Skills:

- Trustworthy, conscientious, and reliable

- A clear, polite, and professional manner

- Upholding and promoting the Club’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.



Hours of work:

You will be required to look after the player(s) Monday to Sunday for the football season.

Payment of host fees will be calculated based upon the agreed rate per Millwall employee

per month



Other information:

The Host families and young players will be given guidelines explaining what is expected of each of them.

Millwall FC Academy is committed to safeguarding children and adults at risk. Due to the nature of this role, the successful household will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for everyone living there over the age of 18. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant, as all cases are judged individually according to the information provided.

Successful applicants will be subject to regular home inspections announced and unannounced, as well as fire safety checks.
