Looking to take your veterinary career to the next level and actually enjoy life while you're at it? You're in the right place.

I am working with a modern, independent veterinary group based in the beautiful Norfolk countryside – just a stone’s throw from the Norfolk Broads and a short drive to the coast. My client runs two successful small animal practices and are now looking for an exceptional Senior Vet to join the team. This is someone who not only loves the clinical side of the job, but who can also bring great energy and positivity into the practice, helping to create a space where everyone feels supported and inspired.

This role is all about leadership with heart. You’ll be setting the tone each day, guiding the team and helping to create a culture where patients, clients, and colleagues all get the very best. It’s a friendly and forward-thinking environment, built with people and pets in mind. The practice is fully kitted out with everything you’d expect – digital x-ray, ultrasound, a dental suite with dental x-ray, and an in-house lab – and if you’ve got a clinical passion, they’re open to investing in additional equipment to help you follow your interests.

You’ll have the time and freedom to properly work up cases and reach accurate diagnoses – the team places a big emphasis on not prolonging animal suffering and offering the highest standards of care. There’s a great variety of work, with a mix of medicine, surgery, emergencies and routine care. The practice also champions preventative care, offering a unique pet health plan to help keep their patients thriving.

Work-life balance genuinely matters here. Appointments don’t start until 10am, giving you time in the mornings for things that make you feel good – whether it’s a run, a swim, or just a slow coffee. And if you ever fancy a weekend in London or a trip further afield, the area’s well connected by train and airports.

To thrive here, you’ll need to be RCVS registered with solid experience in both medicine and surgery. Confidence with sole charge and emergencies is important, as is a good understanding of the business side of practice life. Extra experience with exotics or a postgrad qualification would be a bonus – but absolutely not essential.

This is a rare opportunity to join a genuinely supportive practice where you’ll be treated like family, not a number. The team is ambitious, kind, and committed to growing together. If you’re looking for a place to truly belong, where your voice is heard and your wellbeing is respected, I would love to hear from you.
