Summary
Our client is expanding its children’s services division and seeking an experienced and passionate Ofsted Registered Manager to lead a new children’s home in London. They committed to providing exceptional care and a nurturing environment for children and young people aged 8–17.
The Role:
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015. Your leadership will be vital in creating a safe, supportive, and high-standard environment where children thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the home in line with Ofsted and company standards.
- Ensure the home meets or exceeds "Good" or "Outstanding" Ofsted ratings.
- Recruit, supervise, and develop a team of residential care workers.
- Maintain compliance with safeguarding policies and risk assessments.
- Liaise with external stakeholders including social workers, parents, and local authorities.
- Monitor budgets and ensure efficient use of resources.
Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children’s home.
- In-depth knowledge of Ofsted inspection framework and Children's Homes Regulations.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Eligible to register as the Ofsted Registered Manager.
