Kick start your career in digital services! Join the Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) as a Digital Support Officer where you will undertake a Level 4 Digital and Technology Apprenticeship Scheme.

This role is an exciting opportunity to gain practical experience while studying, offering a structured pathway into IT and Digital Delivery across areas like Cyber Security, Managed IT, Service Management, and Project Delivery. You will help colleagues across the organisation (and external stakeholders) get the most from our digital tools, with a particular focus on the Microsoft 365 Office suite and related technologies.

About the Digital and Technology Apprenticeship

While gaining practical experience across digital service delivery, cyber security, managed IT and change projects, you will also study towards a Level 4 qualification — building the foundations for a rewarding career in public sector technology.

You’ll be joining an ambitious and user-focused team, supporting vital trade functions and helping to ensure the UK’s trade remedy system is fair and effective.

You’ll gain hands-on experience while completing structured learning through a registered training provider. This includes access to a variety of online learning tools, mentorship, and support from the TRA digital team. Day to day you’ll be working across key areas including digital delivery, IT operations, service management, cyber, and change delivery. The Role: This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, digitally curious, and eager to learn new tools and techniques. You’ll contribute to the smooth operation of our services, support digital upskilling, and work alongside our delivery teams to help TRA continuously improve delivery for users.


Responsibilities and Duties

You’ll have opportunities to contribute to impactful digital work, such as:

  • Provide day-to-day digital and user support for Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Assist with basic app testing, maintenance tasks, and updates to digital products and services.
  • Maintain user documentation, training materials, and knowledge articles.
  • Support the delivery of workshops and training sessions for TRA staff, including citizen developers.
  • Contribute to Service Management processes. This may include helping gather user feedback, incident logging, triage, helping with maintaining service management documentation and collaborating with managed service providers.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across teams and external suppliers to support digital delivery.
  • Follow established processes and ensure compliance with security, privacy, and governance standards.
  • Assist or lead in small project delivery across digital change initiatives that support TRA’s goals and objectives
  • Support cyber awareness activities and the implementation of basic security practices across the organisation.
