Summary

This post holder will be expected to work with a number of ICS workstreams and providers in engaging with stakeholders to improve access to diagnostics by working with providers and other stakeholders to implement the digital systems to support the delivery of networked diagnostics across different services. The post-holder is responsible for providing project management and support to ensure outputs are delivered effectively. Providing project management leadership and expert advice to project boards, managers and teams throughout organisations to ensure that best practice, standards, tools and techniques are in place. Undertaking a stocktake of ICS diagnostic workstreams to rigorous definition and oversight of the projects including risk and issue management. To lead on any other initiatives / activities as directed by the NENC ICS Digital Diagnostics Programme Manager. Contribute towards the delivery of the NENC ICS Digital Diagnostics Programme / Project portfolio and co-ordinate project inter-dependencies. Management of the delivery of the NENC ICS Digital Diagnostics comprehensive portfolio of work comprising of programmes, projects, technical requests and feasibility studies. To give comprehensive support and advice to a range of senior managers across the region. To ensure the timely and accurate production of programme status reports for various regional and local Boards, senior management, and management committees. Regional interaction, including working with Trusts to support the development of work, support the managing project/programme priorities, financial tracking and reporting, and project tracking and reporting. Cross-activity relationship management across the region. Active leadership in the areas of quality control, standards, working practices and continuous improvement. The position will involve a considerable amount of interaction with colleagues, business groups, IT and external vendors. To contribute to the on-going development of the regional ICS Digital Diagnostics plan. Promoting the value of the plan within the regional community and driving improvements based on experience gathered from business partners. Maturing those disciplines across organisations ensuring deliverance of a professional, high quality service. Quality and Assurance and control over Programme/Project execution and outcomes including initial point of review for governance packs, prioritisation challenges, cost & resourcing pinch points. Managing effective interfaces in order to maintain an end-to-end view of programme priorities and direction. Feeds into and maintains register of portfolio risks and issues, including mitigation plans. Ensuring that these are escalated and acted upon effectively. Provide advice / guidance to programmes and projects on processes and controls, building an improved understanding and capability in conformance to defined governance and practices. Reports to the NENC ICS Digital Diagnostics Programme Manager.
