Summary
To provide robust clinical leadership to the therapy team in the provision of an effective, high quality Therapy Service for Neonates (in and out patients), associated specialist clinics and wider Paediatric therapy team. This is achieved through effective communication, influencing, motivating and inspiring others to deliver high quality care. This includes responding to national initiatives and advising on appropriate clinical and professional strategy relating to therapy practice within neonates. . To be a physiotherapy or occupational therapy clinical expert and provide clinical leadership in neonatal therapy services To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of own clinical caseload and to manage the clinical risk within own caseload To be responsible for maintaining accurate and comprehensive and timely patient treatment records in accordance with Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) or Royal Collage of Occupational Therapists(RCOT) and Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and local service standards of practice. To practice independently at a highly advanced and expert level, whilst effectively assessing risk, using more senior medical advice when appropriate.
