Summary
To be responsible for a special function of the departmental services as agreed with line management including training officer and or quality officer within the speciality. To ensure that all internal Quality Control and external Quality Assurance programmes are implemented and maintained for the relevant section(s) and to interpret and act on the results accordingly and ensure that this information is communicated to all relevant members of staff. To assist in ensuring that the laboratories meet the Quality Management accreditation standards. To participate in performing validation/verification and SLA initiation of equipment used. In partnership with the Quality Manager, to implement and maintain a Document Control System for the Department of Histology.
