Summary

We are recruiting a Mobile Caretaker at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37 Hours - Split shift 07:30-11:00 14:00-18:00
Contract Type: Full Time/Fixed Term until March 2026
Location: Various Locations across the Borough

This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Early Years Team.

We pay an attractive salary of £24,404 and offer access to training and development opportunities.



We are looking for a Mobile Caretaker to join our team and help maintain our buildings. You will Assist in the provision of maintenance and security services on Early Years premises and sites, thereby ensuring a safe working environment. You will be working throughout the borough with access to the Early Years van.



The postholder will undertake routine inspections of the buildings and grounds to identify remedial works, cleaning, upkeep etc. You will report any faulty equipment and other maintenance requirements to the appropriate person.



We offer a split shift working pattern with flexible working provided key time sensitive tasks are completed.



For the role, we ask that you have:

A Certificate in manual handling or required to achieve in a reasonable time period.
The ability to work on own initiative and part of a team.
A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence to drive a Council vehicle across and outside the County Borough.
