Summary
Our client, a leading provider of Contract Electronic Manufacturing & Test Services based in Newbury, is seeking a Surface Mount Operator to join their growing team. Purpose of the Role:
To operate surface mount PCB assembly equipment with accuracy and efficiency, contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality electronic manufacturing services in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate surface mount (SMT) machinery, including set-up, run, and monitoring of
production.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery.
• Ensure high levels of quality and attention to detail in all aspects of assembly.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation in line with health and safety
standards.
• Work independently and manage workload effectively to meet deadlines.
• Adhere to all company procedures, quality standards, and production protocols.
Essential Skills & Attributes:
• Proven ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced, modern, and clean
manufacturing environment.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage a varied workload with minimal
supervision.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Resilient and able to perform under pressure.
• Excellent organizational and timekeeping skills.
• Commitment to following procedures and maintaining high quality standards.
Technical Experience & Qualifications (Preferred):
• Experience operating surface mount PCB assembly equipment – familiarity with
Samsung SMT equipment is a bonus, but not essential.
• Prior experience in an Electronics Manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of PCB and electronic assembly processes.
