Role:
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of all the wraparound clubs and the holiday club. Ensuring that all clubs provide a safe, enriching and enjoyable environment for children. You will establish and deliver strategic goals to meet the school’s needs, Ofsted regulations, and parent expectations.
This position requires strong organisational abilities, with a focus on planning, preparation, and execution. You will need excellent communication and people skills, so our children, parents and schools feel special when you speak with them.
You will need to be adept at managing staff, nurturing relationships with current partners (such as schools and external agencies), and establishing new partnerships to help drive business growth and improvement.
As the Operations Manager, you will collaborate across all areas of the business to guarantee alignment between clubs, setting clear achievement of targets, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality childcare.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management: Supervise and oversee wraparound clubs and the holiday club, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality service. You will need to visit each club at least once per fortnight and oversee the running of the holiday club.
Team Coordination: Lead and support staff to maintain exceptional service standards, ensuring that their training needs are met and providing opportunities for professional development.
Relationship Building: Develop strong connections with schools, children, parents, and other external agencies. You will be dealing with complaints, so establishing positive relationships will make this a lot easier.
Marketing and Sales: Create and execute strategies to promote services and drive growth. Maintain and update the organisation’s website and CRM system, design marketing materials, and develop IT solutions to improve operational efficiency.
Collaboration: Work in partnership with management and the director to achieve organisational goals.
Business Development: Drive expansion by securing new clients and hitting growth targets.
Project Launches: Plan and execute new initiatives, including opening new clubs and organising product launches.
Staff Recruitment: Assist in attracting and hiring talented team members.
Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain high standards through dynamic, engaging club activities.
Administrative Duties: Handle essential tasks using the booking system. Responding to emails proficiently and professionally. Developing spreadsheets to show data for marketing strategies.
Requirements:
Management Experience: Proven background in a leadership role. Experience in recruitment and knowledge of human resources.
Availability: Must be available from 7:15am to 9:00am daily for the breakfast club team and 2:45pm to 6:15pm for the after school club team. Must be available during the school holidays from 8:15am to 4:15pm (except Christmas holidays).
Business Growth Success: Demonstrated ability to drive business growth, supported by case studies.
Childcare Industry Expertise: Previous experience managing a team, project, or program preferably within the childcare sector, ideally in wraparound clubs but nurseries, schools and pre-schools would also be accepted

Marketing Knowledge: Familiarity with creating and implementing marketing campaigns and strategies.
Communication: Must be able to communicate professionally both in person and in writing. The role requires you to establish and build positive relationships with the staff, children, parents and schools. So effective communication is essential.
Transportation: Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Hours per week: 35
Hourly rate: £16 per hour
