Summary
Protected research time will be provided. There are several research themes within the department and the successful applicant will be able to discuss which project most suits their needs and interests. High quality postgraduate education is provided through weekly gastrointestinal departmental meetings, the Division of Medicine Grand Round, multidisciplinary meetings in Nutrition, Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Gastrointestinal Radiology. Attendance at Severn General Medicine and Gastroenterology regional training days is encouraged. In addition the post holder will be part of the general medical on-call rota at the Bristol Royal Infirmary, leading the acute medical take and the out of hours medical inpatient team as medical registrar.
