We are seeking to appoint an exceptionally able individual to take on this diverse role at our fully inclusive, nurturing primary school in the Vale of Glamorgan. We are looking for an outstanding Deputy Head Teacher who will enable pupils of all abilities to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and articulate the vision and ethos of the school amongst pupils, staff, parents and the wider community. Number on roll 350 (3-11).

About you / We are looking for a deputy headteacher who will:
• Be an excellent classroom practitioner who nurtures and leads children to
flourish through high quality learning experiences.
• Ensure pupils’ wellbeing is central to all decisions, developments and actions
• Inspire and motivate pupils and staff to achieve their full potential
• Have a genuine interest in the needs of every pupil and their enjoyment of
learning
• Demonstrate an inclusive approach towards teaching and learning of all pupils
• Be committed and share in our belief that education is a partnership between
pupils, parents, staff, governors, the local community and other stakeholders
• Have excellent senior leadership skills, with strong evidence of strategic
thinking and planning
• Show an excellent understanding of the Curriculum for Wales and ALN Act,
and how these can be successfully implemented at our school
• Have a proven record of leading initiatives which have a significant impact on
the school
• Bring creativity and innovation with a keen interest in keeping up to date with
current educational developments.
