St Margaret’s C.E. Primary School is a “Good” and happy primary school with outstanding behaviour and attitudes. We have extremely high standards and a relentless determination to provide the best for all our pupils, our families and our staff team. Our Christian values underpin everything about our wonderful school.

We are seeking to appoint an engaging, enthusiastic, flexible, highly motivated and hard-working teaching assistant to join our caring and friendly staff at St Margaret’s C.E. Primary School. In return we can offer you a fantastic team of committed individuals to work alongside who support each other and excellent professional development too. The position could be placed anywhere in school during the school day and the successful candidate would be expected to lead learning for PPA, staff cover and staff absence where needed, sometimes at short notice as well as supporting the teacher and pupils in class.

Our pupils are amazing! They expect teaching and learning to be interesting, engaging, with good pace and challenging. They want staff who are firm but fair, who are consistent, rewarding achievement and good behaviour and put consequences and support in place as necessary. Our pupils want a teaching assistant that makes learning fun, but that stretches them and promotes them to become independent learners. Our pupils want someone who has time for them and supports them to be the best that they can be.

We were inspected by Ofsted last March and we were graded Good overall with Outstanding in behaviour and attitude. Our school community is very proud of this.

To apply for this position please download the application form and supporting documentation and send completed applications to office@stmargaretsce.rochdale.sch.uk by Friday 9th May 2025
