BEH and Camden and Islington foundation trust have merged to become the North London NHS Foundation Trust to work with in the North Central London integrated care board brackets (ICB) and the general practitioner (GP) to ensure that there is comprehensive transformation of care for the people living in the boroughs of Barnet Camden Enfield Haringey and Islington we are working with ICB and GP network to ensure that people living in the NCL sector are provided with effective compassionate and equitable care irrespective of their post code within the NCL sector.
NLFT NHS Trust understands the importance of resilient childhood and have embarked on a path to provide effective, personalised and compassionate care to young people living in the boroughs of North Central London . The trust has created a specific CAMHS division to focus on achieving this aim.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled, approachable and motivated specialty doctor to join the Haringey CAMHS team to help in managing the care of young people living within the north central London and collaborative. This is an excellent opportunity for a specialty doctor who would like to work within a well-functioning adolescent assertive outreach team and established community CAMHS team with a diverse multi-disciplinary team.
This is a new post that has been specifically created to provide an effective and timely service to the young people living in the borough of Barnet due to the increased demand for CAMHS within the service.
The person appointed to the post will be encouraged to innovate under the supervision of a consultant and pursue research interest as appropriate the child and adolescent research unit based at University College London CAMHS research unit. The post holder will be encouraged to participate in various QI projects with the service and will also be encouraged to come up with new QI projects as appropriate.

In order to meet the needs of the Trust you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey or Islington. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.
The trust is embarking on an ambitious transformation of services within CAMHS using the THRIVE principles and the candidate would be encouraged to develop and contribute towards these changes in order to deliver an effective and compassionate service to the young people living within Barnet.
All new doctors will be provided with mentoring by experienced consultants to help develop in their role. The specialty doctor will be invited to be part of the local Consultant CPD/Peer support group. The postholder will be encouraged to use the CESR/pathway portfolio route to converting his/her experience to become a consultant.
