“When I turned 16 years old, I joined the Recruitment Academy and continued to assist with the swimming lessons. I also, attained my level 1 Swim Teacher qualification. When I started volunteering, I was very shy. I have found that assisting with the swimming lessons has boosted my confidence. My communication skills have improved significantly. I am now a contracted Swim Teacher and I teach my own lessons. I feel so proud that I have worked so hard and achieved my goal of being a Swim Teacher. Now I have my own lessons, I love seeing the children each week and seeing them improve their swimming techniques and having fun in the water. I am so grateful for the opportunity’s that have been granted to me.” – Holly – Leisure Attendant.
