Role Overview – Maintenance Engineer

We’re looking for a talented Maintenance Engineer to join our clients fast-paced manufacturing facility, specialising in metal closures and lids. You’ll be part of a tight-knit team, ensuring seamless production through effective maintenance, swift fault resolution, and contributions to equipment and process enhancements. This role, requires candidates to work on a 3 shift basis.

Key Responsibilities – Maintenance Engineer

• Conduct planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical production machinery
• Quickly identify and fix mechanical issues to reduce downtime
• Assist with machinery upgrades, new installations, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Log detailed records in CMMS and participate in root cause analysis
• Always prioritise safe working practices

Key Experience & Qualifications – Maintenance Engineer

• Time-served Maintenance Engineer (apprenticeship or equivalent)
• Proven experience in high-volume manufacturing settings
• Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems, pneumatics, and resistance welding
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and work autonomously
• Background in metal packaging or similar industries is a strong advantage
• Knowledge of Lean/TPM methodologies
• Basic familiarity with electrical systems
