Summary
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Plater to join our dynamic team in Lanark, South Lanarkshire. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication and welding, with the ability to work with various materials and tools.
39 Hours per week. Mon - Thu 07.30am - 4.30pm, Early Finish on Fridays at 12.30pm. Regular overtime available. Weekday & Saturdays 1.5 x Time. Sundays 2 x Time. Competitive Rate & Holiday Entitlement.
CSCS Card & Drivers License desired but not essential.
Duties
Fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications and drawings.
Utilise hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal parts.
Perform stick welding and other welding techniques to join metal pieces effectively.
Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and resolve any issues that may arise during the manufacturing process.
Skills
Proficient in welding techniques, particularly stick welding.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Ability to fabricate metal components from sheet metal with precision.
Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
