Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Planning & Logistics team on a 12-16 week summer internship. The internship will provide you with an insight into a fast paced supply chain operations role. You will get the opportunity to gain hands on experience in real world logistics and planning within a fast-growing industry.
Reporting directly to the Planning & Logistics Manager you’ll be working within our Farms Office in Fort William. The internship will provide meaningful work experience and business knowledge. A summary of the main responsibilities below:
- Coordinating processing activities and aligning harvest plans with sales orders using planning tools and customer eligibility criteria;
- Assisting with accurate order entry and updates in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system;
- Supporting the fulfilment of customer orders in accordance with sales department priorities and constraints;
- Ensuring all shipping and export documentation is accurately prepared and completed for each destination;
- Monitoring stock levels and supporting the management of product availability;
- Coordinating logistics operations, including road and airfreight, in collaboration with our external logistics partners;
- Ad hoc admin related tasks.
We are ideally looking for a student who is currently studying or is interested in pursuing a degree in logistics, business, supply chain or related discipline or alternatively you are not currently studying but are interested in pursuing a career in supply chain management.
