Summary
Act as a Key Worker for patients throughout the diagnostic, treatment and metastatic pathway liaising across all care settings for Gastrointestinal (GI) Oncology and Cancer of Unknown Primary(CUP) Patients. Provide expert knowledge and ensure safe care is delivered to the patient along the GI and CUP care pathway. Works as an autonomous practitioner managing and organising own workload, reflecting the core components of the specialist nurse role i.e. clinical, management, research and education. Provides support and expertise to the Colorectal Stratified Follow Up Pathway, including delivering Stratified Follow Up Nurse Led Clinics according to specific guidelines and within scope of practice Acts as a clinical resource utilising specialist knowledge, supporting staff education anddevelopment across the Trust to enhance patients quality of care Please see the attached Job Description for full information.
