PLEASE REFER TO THE ATTACHED JOB DESCRIPTION FOR FULL DUTIES OF THE ROLE To provide succession planning, and to continue to demonstrate our commitment to development of our Team, we are looking to recruit an Apprentice Project Manager. Working within Capital Projects team within Estates Department, we have a commitment to delivering strategic elements of the Capital Programme, as well as supporting planned Backlog Maintenance (Capital) investment. Project Managers are expected to manage schemes from Inception to Post Completion reviews, and ensure engagement of all internal and external stakeholders, providing adequate communication and management in accordance with Time, Cost and Quality constraints/criteria. The Management Apprenticeship programme looks to provide dedicated training, underpinned by independent learning, as well as experience by working with existing Project Managers to gain experience via exposure, in the form of shadowing. The successful candidate will ultimately need to manage their own workload and independently manage projects, albeit with appropriate support. On that basis, the post will provide opportunities for the candidate to manage their own projects, with varying scale and complexity (as they develop) albeit under supervision. Expectations at Completion of Apprenticeship, to inform training requirements: Leading on assigned projects; managing all aspects of Design, Construction & Handover, required across any of CHoICE managed healthcare facilities. This includes managing multi-disciplinary teams including internal & external stakeholders, Design Consultants and Main Contractors as required. The post holder will be required to: Project manage a range of Capital Projects Take the lead role in planning and design of schemes interfacing with Senior Managers of all Stakeholders. Give specialist estates advice as required. Responsible for the production of Feasibility proposals Design and manage in-house design works, as required. Work with others to ensure affordable capital programmes consistent with business priorities are delivered.
