Role overview
Are you looking for a role with autonomy and variety whilst making a difference in families' lives?
Come and join a Charity focused on people rather than profit
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Family Support Practitioner (internally known as Family Support Specialist) to
join our Family Services team working from our Yate office, and around South Gloucestershire working part-time, 15 hours a week.
Your role will involve supporting families to achieve their goals through Positive Parenting Programmes, Family Support and
community groups. You'll thrive at building relationships with those that you are supporting, and our network of partner agencies.
Your organisational and time keeping skills should be strong, as you will be managing a busy caseload.
No two working days will ever be the same
As a Family Support Practitioner in South Gloucestershire, you will be working with vulnerable families through parenting
programmes to establish routines and structures, role modelling positive interactions, guiding healthy lifestyles and working
alongside other professionals to offer a holistic approach. You'll be supporting a caseload of families to ensure the needs of the
child, young person or family are met.
You will have worked in this role previously or have transferrable skills from other positions. Your personal values and
experiences will enrich your ability to support. This is an incredible opportunity to lead on relevant projects within the team to
match your subject matter expertise.
The service operates primarily between Monday to Friday and we are able to discuss flexible working for applicants to meet a
healthy work life balance. You will be providing support through visiting people in their own homes, working in schools or other
community settings.
You will be required to travel within your designated area of work, therefore a full driver’s licence and your own transport are
essential.
If you are empathetic, driven, embrace opportunities and are willing to learn and reflect, we want to hear from you, to help us
continue to achieve our vision and purpose.
Benefitting from monthly 1-2-1 supervision, a designated training pathway, and working with a knowledgeable, experienced and
supportive team, you'll have all you need to develop within your role.
Interested? Then we'd love to have a chat.
