Summary
A telehandler is responsible for operating a specialized type of forklift used to lift and move heavy materials on construction sites or in warehouse settings. They must have excellent hand-eye coordination and be able to navigate tight spaces while also following proper safety protocols.
Responsibilities
Operate telehandler to lift and transport materials to designated areas
Load and unload trucks or containers using telehandler
Inspect telehandler before and after each use to ensure proper functioning
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Communicate with team members to coordinate material movement and ensure efficient workflow
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid telehandler operator certification
Previous experience operating a telehandler or forklift
Ability to read and understand construction plans and material lists
Strong hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
