Role Overview
As an Assistant Service Leader, you'll support the planning and safe delivery of services, ensuring activities are meaningful, inclusive, and tailored to the needs of our Service Users. You'll deputise for the Service Leader, manage day-to-day operations, and help lead an enthusiastic team of staff and volunteers.

✅ Key Responsibilities
Assist with coordinating and running adult services in line with SoLO’s values

Lead activity planning and ensure effective service delivery

Support with safeguarding, risk management, and health & safety

Maintain accurate service user records and documentation

Supervise staff and volunteers, and provide ongoing support

Communicate with families, carers, and external professionals

What We’re Looking For
Essential:

Experience in a similar care or leadership role

Understanding of learning disabilities and person-centred support

GCSEs A–C (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Proficient in Microsoft Office and IT systems

Strong planning, communication, and organisational skills

Desirable:

Experience with positive behaviour support and safeguarding

Leadership/management qualification (or willingness to work toward)
