Summary

Private Cook Position - South Queensferry (EH30)

We are seeking a friendly, experienced, and reliable Private Cook to work with a lovely couple based in South Queensferry, EH30. This is a permanent role with an immediate start for the right candidate.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, with alternate weekends (must be flexible)

  • Lunch served at 1:00 PM and Dinner at 7:30 PM

  • Flexible start times around 11:30 AM, finishing after dinner service and kitchen tidy-up

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare basic, wholesome Scottish meals - hearty soups, traditional dishes, and simple home baking for snacks

  • Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen at all times

  • Provide occasional support for dinner parties - canapés and 3-course meals for up to 10 guests

  • Collaborate with the household staff and assist with light housekeeping tasks when needed

Additional Notes:

  • Must be comfortable with two friendly family dogs in the home

  • Ideal candidate will live locally to South Queensferry (EH30) - driver preferred

  • Must be flexible, discreet, and well-organised

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role

  • Strong culinary skills with a focus on simple, nutritious meals

  • Excellent time management and a proactive attitude

  • Must be professional, reliable, and clean in working practices

Salary:

  • £26,000 - £30,000 per annum (flexible for the right candidate)
