Summary
Minimum of 30 Hours per week - Dental Therapist required to work in NHS/private dental practice . Majority of therapists work will be NHS , with some private .
To do exams , s/p , perio , cons , all treatments therapists are allowed to do , to refer RCT , lab related work etc. to dentists , and to carry out work under prescription from a dentist . If you do Private fillings etc. this fee is split 50 / 50 .
A dental nurse will support you . The current going rate for a self employed Therapist is £ 30 per hr . We pay by the UDAs achieved at £ 11 net per uda . Most therapists should achieve between 4 to 6 uda per hr . eg £ 44 to £ 66 per hour .
Must be GDC registered as a therapist .
If no settled worker wants this position then Sponsorship is available for an employed therapist . Who must be GDC reg. as therapist and have English
IELTS at least average score of 7 within the last 2 yrs - to meet NHS requirements .
Will be paid less than £ 11 net per UDA - the difference to cover paid holidays ( 6 weeks ) ,and paid Bank Hols .
To earn not less than £ 49500 per year including holiday / Bank hol . pay . May earn more depending on UDAs achieved per year .
