Admin Assistant - Alternative Provision

Long Term Futures is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established alternative education provider in Chesterfield, S41 to recruit an enthusiastic and capable Administrative Assistant. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to secure a long-term role in a meaningful and supportive educational setting, with potential to move to a permanent contract.
The Role:
This administrative post supports a nurturing provision that works with pupils who require tailored educational support. You will play a central role in the day-to-day coordination of administrative processes, ensuring smooth operations across the site.
Main Duties Will Include:
* Acting as the first point of contact at reception, handling phone and in-person enquiries professionally.
* Maintaining accurate manual and computerised records in accordance with data protection standards.
* Supporting the preparation of internal documentation, reports, and external communication.
* Coordinating meetings, distributing agendas, and minute taking.
* Liaising with parents, staff, and external partners on behalf of the school.
Ideal Candidate:
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident using school MIS systems (training can be provided).
* Calm, organised, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
* Previous experience in a school, care, or SEN setting is an advantage, though not essential.
* A friendly, approachable manner and a proactive attitude to getting things done.
