Summary

Are you a dynamic and motivated leader with a proven background in estates maintenance or construction within the NHS, healthcare, or a related sector. We are seeking an exceptional Senior Manager to join our Estates Management team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our built environment and make a tangible difference across Trust sites.

As the Head of Estates Backlog Maintenance, you will play a pivotal role, working full-time on site and reporting to the Head of Estates. Your extensive experience in providing tactical and operational leadership in an estates infrastructure setting, preferably within a healthcare environment, will set you apart, alongside your excellent financial acumen, communication skills, and ability to lead and manage a team effectively.

In return, you will have the chance to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders and contribute to significant projects that leave a lasting legacy. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about transforming ideas into reality, this could be the perfect role for you.

Provide leadership and management for the Estates Team, collaborating with senior managers within the Directorate to oversee the £20m+ backlog maintenance capital programme across all Trust sites.

Contribute to operational and corporate planning, specifically the Trust’s annual and 5 year rolling capital backlog investment plan, that maintains the estates infrastructure whilst a Government new hospital programme project is delivered over the next 10-15 years.

Partner with Trust stakeholders to develop project schemes, while managing procurement processes, supervising design teams, and ensuring accountability for financial performance, project timelines, quality delivery, and the development of business cases.

Hold appropriate higher-level education in Estates and/or Facilities Management, with demonstrable evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD).

At Imperial College Healthcare you can achieve extraordinary things with extraordinary people, working with leading clinicians pushing boundaries in patient care.

Become part of a vibrant team living our values - expert, kind, collaborative and aspirational. You’ll get an experience like no other and will fast forward your career.

Benefits include career development, flexible working and wellbeing, staff recognition scheme. Make use of optional benefits including Cycle to Work, car lease schemes, season ticket loan or membership options for onsite leisure facilities.
