Summary
We are recruiting an Events & Operations Manager to lead on operations and event delivery at Blaengarw Workmen’s Hall and Betws Community Centre and support venue and event operations across Awel Y Môr, Porthcawl, Maesteg Town Hall, and Bryngarw Park when needed.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of venue operations, maintaining excellent customer service standards, and overseeing casual staff teams. You will act as the Designated Premises Supervisor, ensuring full compliance with licensing legislation, and work closely with technical, facilities, and food and beverage teams to deliver seamless events.
We’re seeking someone with an NVQ Level 3 in Hospitality or Customer Service, or equivalent experience, with strong communication and organisational skills. Experience working in customer-facing roles within arts or events, along with knowledge of ticketing systems like Spektrix, will be advantageous.
This role is ideal for someone who is confident, enthusiastic, forward-thinking and creative who can contribute to the development of the Theatres and Awen. If you’re passionate about delivering memorable events and making a difference in your local community, we’d love to hear from you.
