Summary

We have a fantastic new job opportunity within our Farmyard & Adventure Playground. The welfare of the animals within the Farmyard is of paramount importance and working as an Animal Welfare Assistant you will ensure that our animals are at all times well cared for and that their health and welfare needs are met. You will support the Farmyard & Adventure Playground Supervisors and colleagues in their roles, caring for the animals, in addition to assisting with the delivery of the visitor and education programme. You will take an active role in supervising the adventure playground whilst being mindful of safety issues. You will also be required to provide excellent customer service across the Farmyard and Adventure Playground to ensure excellent standards are maintained at all times. Using your excellent knowledge and experience of animals you will be confident in handling farm livestock and ideally hold a relevant qualification in livestock/equine care, with a good H&S awareness too. You will need to be friendly and approachable, able to provide excellent customer service and work well as part of a team. A current driving license is required for this role. This role is part time - 16 hours a week working Sunday and Monday, however, flexibility is required during certain times of the farming year.
