Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Fostering Recruitment and Assessment Social Worker to join our dynamic team in supporting children and families in need. This role is pivotal in identifying, assessing, and recruiting foster carers who can provide safe and loving homes, helping to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive in a nurturing environment. As a Fostering Recruitment and Assessment Social Worker, you will engage with prospective foster families, guiding them through the assessment process while providing them with the information and resources necessary to understand the fostering journey. You will conduct thorough evaluations of potential carers, ensuring they meet the required standards and possess the right qualities for fostering. Your work will involve collaborating with other professionals, local authorities, and community organizations to promote fostering initiatives and increase awareness of the urgent need for more foster families. A key part of your role will include offering ongoing support and training to foster carers, allowing them to succeed and positively impact the lives of vulnerable children. Responsibilities
Conduct assessments of prospective foster carers to determine their suitability.
Provide information and guidance to potential foster families throughout the recruitment process.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support children in care and their foster families.
Develop and deliver training sessions and workshops for foster carers.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to assessments and placements.
Participate in fostering awareness campaigns to recruit and retain foster carers.
Provide ongoing support and supervision to approved foster families.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field.
Valid social work license or equivalent certification.
Experience working in child welfare or family services.
Strong knowledge of fostering regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to assess and analyze individual and family dynamics effectively.
Demonstrated commitment to child safety and well-being.

Pay Per Hour: £27.98
